Christmas in Prague - TWO STAYS Xmas 2010 and Jan 2011 We stayed twice at Residence Karoliny. The first apartment we stayed at over Christmas was great. We arrived in Prague two days late - and our first night at Karoliny had to be cancelled. The delay was after arriving in London from Sydney Australia just in time to be held up by snow at Heathrow (for two days in row). After seeing the very pretty 1 hour snowstorm in London - that closed Heathrow for four days - we gave up on plane travel and 'bussed it' for 22 hours ... and not on one of Czech's high quality 'student buses' ... Why mention this - well Prague City Apartments were great about this change - and told us not to worry - in the ende there were no cancellation fees even though their apartment was empty the night we failed to arrive. There was a charge of AUD $14.89 (1560 Koruna) and that was it when the lost night was changed to another night in January. Our "Christmas home" for six nights was a really lovely apartment with a really nice little snowy balcony looking into a fascinating courtyard

Our week in Prague We were very happy with the apartment and would return and definitely recommend them. The staff helped with concierge services so you do not miss anything by not staying in a hotel. Only issue - We were warned by staff that cleaning is between 11am and 4pm but when you go out for a few hours and return in afternoon it is disappointing if the cleaner has not been in. I do not want the negative summary published it is only for the management. thank you for your efficient services and communication. Roz MacAllan

NegativeCleaner on 4 days out of 5 did not clean until end of day so when we came back in we felt we would be disturbed- cleaning from 11am to 4pm and she came in at 3.30pm, would prefer earlier next time

Best decision we made We stayed in apartment Residence Karolina unit 22 and loved it. We enjoyed the flexibility of cooking our own meals and having breakfast in the privacy of the apartment. Our location was perfect top to see all the sites of Prague. The beds were very comfortable, the apartment very spacious, the aircon was strong enough to give us reprieve from the summer weather and best was the wifi which was was very strong too. they had satellite tv (missed the cartoon channel for the kids) however wifi was more than enough to entertain them while at the apartment. We were picked up by a taxi at the airport arranged by the hotel and brought back with no hassle. The best was receiving an email offering to make the first grocery purchase for us in advance by the staff. You won't get that service in a hotel. we loved this apartment and highly recommend it to anyone staying to visit Prague. kudos to the team
