Prague apartments accommodation - apartments in Prague historical centre - alternative to hotels in Prague

Lovely Honeymoon We stayed for two nights in Mar 2011. The one-bedroom apartment we stayed in was fantastic -- great location steps from Old Town Square, modern, clean, secure. We even had a room with a view of the Tyn. The apartment was well furnished with furniture and applicances, although the sat TV did not work for us. Staff was incredibly helpful. A few things to consider: 1) Reception office is not in the same building as the apartment. It isn't far, but with luggage it is too far to walk. If you are not familiar with the city, I suggest using PCA's taxi service if possible. 2) There was not an elevator in the apartment building. 3) I don't think there was an air conditioner. 4) On check out day, if you choose to leave your bags in the apartment to be dropped off at the office, make sure you tell the office you will leave them there. We had a misunderstanding, and nearly missed our bus out of the city because our luggage was not at the office when we left to pick it up. PCA staff was very helpful in resolving

Briliant location - loved Prague architecture, but too many people On arrival I found the small adjustable mirror in the bathroom to be broken on the hinges and therefore we did not use this since we were concered this would break off on usage and it was very dusty. On arrival we also found the handrail attached to the wall in the bathroom, to aid getting in and out of the shower/bath, was clearly coming away from the wall and we were concerned about using this as it could cause an accident if it came away from the wall. From Saturday we did not have any hot water in the morning when we came to have showers at around 7.30 a.m. and again on Sunday morning, and since we left the apartment early to explore, we were unable to have showers on both occassions and had to resort to boiling a kettle. I was told that any luggage could be left at the apartment should we wish to go out before the vacation time, as it was we left at 10.00 a.m. but should we have wished to avail ourselves of this facility, there was nobody available to discuss this with. Great location in a great city Prague is a great city to visit and our stay was made more enjoyable by the excellent service and support from prague City Apartments. Right from the online booking to the tour arangements and airport transfers, PCA were right on the money! Thanks PCA, we will definitely be staying with you guys again when we are in Prague next.
