Prague apartments accommodation - apartments in Prague historical centre - alternative to hotels in Prague

I emailed on several occasions that help is needed as I am travelling with elderly parents but reception was not keen to assist with luggage. On day of check out, had to request again for keys to be picked up from apartment rather than reception. Was told that apartment is checked and all functioning well. But on check in air con was found to be not working. Service personnel came in 3 times to do the same thing - switch off and on again mains but that did not help. I am wondering what training/check list does the staff do when they say an apartment has been checked. Service not personal unfortunately. Specific requests not even entered into system I believe. Sorry not impressed with your staff. Rgds

well located prague apartment Very nice and comfortable apartment in a great location. Only minutes to all the must sees but far enough from the bars to be quiet. The 24hr front office is convenient and the fact that it is right next to the residence is absolute plus!

Perfect We've been staying in short term apartments in Europe for years on now. The Karolina is clearly one of the very best, if not indeed THE best apartment we've stay in. I would recommend it for anyone who wants the privacy and comfort of an apartment in Prague 1. I will definitely stay here again in future.

Family trip The apartment is in a good location, the quiet part of old town, yet reasonably close to the Old Town Centre (10-min walk), tram stops (<5 min walk), and big supermarket (<10 min walk). Plenty of space for 5 people (2 adults & 3 kids), living room/dining room/kitchen are well-equipped with modern appliances. Wi-fi Internet works well. As it's a renovated old building, the bathroom fittings are a bit dated. The main negative thing we encountered was the running washing machine caused half the electricity of the apartment to turn off, including itself and the fridge. So half of the food we bought got ruined and we had wet, dirty clothes that couldn't be taken out without spilling the water out of the machine. When I rang the front desk, it took over 3 hours (and 3 separate follow-up calls) for them to send someone over to look into it. When they said it's fixed, it wasn't as the problem repeated itself as soon as we turn the washing machine on again. We ended up having to use a washing machine in another apartm

First time in Prague We stayed 3 nights in apartment 32 Residence Karolina and although there were street works underway close by, our accommodation was quiet. The free pick-up from the train station was a welcome bonus particularly as the weather was damp. The rooms are spacious and there was everything needed to prepare meals and to do the laundry. Access to the old town and major sites is walking distance. For those who like the option of self catering we would recommend staying here.
